Mission StatementThe primary mission of the USHSTCA (the coaches arm of the USHSTA) is to provide high school tennis coaches with information geared toward the specific task of coaching student athletes in tennis.Unlike organizations which focus primarily on serving commercial tennis professionals, the USHSTCA focuses on serving scholastic coaches by providing them with information specific to that task. |

| Steve Milano, President/Executive
Director Steve has traveled the world working with tennis teachers and coaches to increase their ability to share the fundamentals of the sport. The former Executive Director of the USPTR Foundation and Publisher & Editor-in-Chief of TennisPro magazine, Mr. Milano is a professional journalist who has published more than 300 articles in magazines and newsletters worldwide. | Brad Patterson, 1st Vice President/Secretary Brad is the former executive director of the Tennis Industry Association, and most recently was a vice president at Indoor Courts of America, one of the country's leading tennis and sport facility construction companies. Brad is credited with building the TIA into one of the industry's most powerful organizations during his tenure in the 1980s and spearheading successful research and grow-the-game initiatives during his time there. |
| Dr. Jeff Chandler Dr. Chandler is an Associate Professor of Exercise Science, Sport and Recreation at Marshall University. Dr. Chandler was previously the Director of Research at the Lexington Sports Medicine Center. He is the author of the U.S. Professional Tennis Registry's "Sport Science for the Coach" and is currently a sport science advisor to the USPTR and a member and former Secretary/Treasurer of the Society for Tennis Medicine and Science. Dr. Chandler is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and is the Editor in Chief of Strength and Conditioning Journal, the professional journal of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. |
| Carlos Goffi Carlos is the founder and director of the Nike/Tournament Tough junior tennis program, and an internationally recognized authority on coaching both juniors and professional players. A former, collegiate, Brazilian Davis Cup and pro tour player, Carlos coached John and Patrick McEnroe, Peter Fleming and Mary Carillo, among others, while they were juniors, and his relationship continues with them to this day. He is the author or Tournament Tough, a Guide to Junior Tennis, and currently coaches his son Josh, a former Clemson and NCAA standout who is now on the ATP Tour. An entrepreneur, Carlos has been involved in promotions for Nike and Dunlop/Slazenger, as well as in tennis resort consulting. |
| Preston Jackson, Jr. Preston is the head tennis coach at the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, where his teams have won seven straight District IX championships, and nine overall. Preston has been coaching for more than 20 years and is currently the head tennis professional and manager of the Rock Creek Tennis Center in Washington, D.C. He was the USPTA's High School Coach of the Year in 2001 and Mid-Atlantic High School Coach of the Year in 2000. He is also a member of the PTR. |

| Rachel Elkins Rachel is the Assistant Director of Admissions at Sweet Briar College, where she handles academic transfers and athletic recruiting. Rachel was the captain of her Sweet Briar College tennis team, which was a top 20 Division III team. She is a certified USPTR Instructor and worked at Dennis Van der Meer's Hilton Head Island and Sweet Briar locations in both teaching and administrative areas for more than a decade. Rachel has worked in a variety of capacities in the tennis world including as a high school coach, college placement advisor for high school athletes (particularly tennis players) and as a college recruiter, and currently advises her father, who has recently become a high school tennis coach. |

| Page Love Page is the owner of NutriSport nutrition and fitness counseling and is a nutrition advisor for the USTA Sport Science Committee and the U.S. Professional Tennis Registry. Page is the past president of the Atlanta Dietetic Association, a certified member of the U.S. Professional Tennis Association, an ACSM Health Fitness Instructor and an NCSA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Page has written numerous articles on nutrition and fitness, appeared on CNN's Headline News, has provide consulting for the Atlanta Braves, General Motors, Ford, Johnson & Johnson and Turner Broadcasting, among others. |
